Swipe me again

Meal swipe burning time. A time of waste and want. Gluttony runs rampant. Using someone elses card , I bought 2 large subs, 4 fountain drinks, a chicken caesar labretti, chicken parmesan, and 8 doughnuts. Not the most impressive, but quite a run anyway.

I'm so sleepy, don't know wether to blitz work on the Genetic Testing essay, or take some rest and work at it slowly. Have till Sunday.

When I was reading through all the chapters in my Orgo Chem book, readying for the exam, I came across the section about cycloalkanes and angle strain. It said the best way to test the energy from angle strain is by measuring the heat of combustion of the carbon ring. This brought up the great memory of the hilarious high school lab where we were trying to figure out the heat of combustion of a peanut or something.

We had such awful equipment, no proper bomb calorimeter or anything. Styrofoam cups were considered elite. So my group got creative and put the thermometer probe right against the heating aluminum foil. We could get accurate temperature readings, right? Haha, we maxed out one probe, breaking it I think, returning it to the box, and took another one. We tried being a little more cautious, but I think we maxed that one out as well. We returned it to the box.

Yeah, that might just point out how much of a geek I really am, because I find that so amusing. The simple things in life. I still blame it on the school's poor equipment.

Oh, and on an even funnier note, I think in the stress caused by studying for the Orgo Chem final, I caused myself some internal bleeding. Looks pretty... cool, if I may say so myself, though I could see 'ugly' being a functional word there too. No different than the norm I suppose.

Have a gander at the winter-wonder-landiness from my window's view:

Got to enjoy snow, always.

Let the fog roll in

Last night, or rather, early this morning, there was a thick fog blanketing everything. I thought it was just a dense snow flurry at first, but when I stuck my head out the window, it was like being in a giant humidifier. I like fog, such a rare and precious thing.

A new pet peeve: even if I'm not known to someone, I now realize that I take offense to someone choosing the pronoun, "kid" for me. In the whole scheme of things, I may still fit in that age bracket, but for some reason that grates my nerves. So don’t call me kid.

Still in the thick of finals week. I really should be doing even more studying/reading/researching/preparation. After this I’m planning on hitting the books hard.

Listen to Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out, that, or if you’re in a more beat-mood, try [http://24.8.129.128:8000/virtualdj.mp3]. Put this is your media player that can handle streaming/urls. He’s still working on his DJing skills, and I don’t know if his hours are regular, but try and tune in.

Anything that has something negative on Harry Potter is positive in my books.
