ANA Friday

It was a rather basic day. Classes. Kendo. Then ANA.

For those of you that don't know, ANA stands for all night anime. The group of people sat through 12 hours of Neon Genesis Evangelion from start to finish, with the Alternate ending 25' and 26'.

There was a brief interlude to walk over to the Turkey Hill just off campus in the middle. I got a glass bottle so I could boil water in the microwave.

Just now my phone rang. It was a collect call from the local prison.

I am reminded by a quote made by myself in a discollected state, "I take the rock out of the stone."

Soy Sauce in the Cafeterium

It was actually yesterday that there was a dish that just had me craving for soy sauce, so I made a little scene, got some, and was blissfully happy. I've got to feed my Japanese genes every once in a while.

Today today... math & art was pretty much pointless. I don't knwo where that class is going to go. It was my only class today, so that was nice.

I organized my room a little bit, and started reading my Organic Chemistry book for the first time. It is great fun! No sarcasm! Nomenclature makes me happy.

Went to the ASFC intending to attend Aikido, but it was cancelled, so it worked out nicely so that I could go to badminton instead. That was good fun, bashing on the shuttlecock, playing ninjutsu style, etc...

Came back for the pointless hall meeting, I still don't know any of these people.

Went to the gaming club, where we played cards. Fun again, something to fuel my guilty appetites.

I'll go to sleep listening to sappy, R.E.M. - Leaving New York. I'm normally actually not that much of an R.E.M. fan, but there's something to this one.

Uhhh

So today... let's see.
Was a little worried about a Japanese vocab quiz, but that went okay.
Was a little worried about going into the lab to do our first real chemistry experiment, and that went okay. (Had to go to a really stupid lab safety training session thing though. At least it was in a cool room/lecture hall.)
Then... went to the club and activity fair, signed up for a bunch of stuff, and registered to vote. I'll be getting a lot of spam e-mail from clubs now. A friend of mine manning one of the tables wrote my name in arabic, looks really cool.
Went to the health profession meeting for all the students looking to go to medical school. Sorta lays on a little stress for the years ahead.
Actually went to one club meeting, anime club, watched a few episodes of a few series, then stepped out to go to a party off campus. Stopped in, had a drink, then left. Just wasn't feeling it. Went back to anime club... watched a few more episodes of different series, but then left again before it was over.
After that, I went with my friend to the library to print something. The macs still officially suck. This asian girl came up to me/us and started talking about asians... Might be seeing more of her. (I did sign up for asian culture club afterall.)

Piano in a Box!

Classes were easier today. I don't like all the writing that's going to be involed with math & art although the professor is trying to tell us how good it will be for us.

I tried studying in the library. The air was too dry there, and I was too tired, didn't work so well.

ahhh, the art is getting to my head!

Went to aikido again, good times.

While walking through the dorm building, I finally found out what the odd box was for in the basement. Its a sound deafening thing. There was someone inside it with a piano. Rather interesting scene, watching her banging away there.

Bright Eyes - Waste of Paint is a really good song. I like the lyrics and the sound of it.

Let's See...

Yeah, I'm going to stop the play by play stupidity and just name some highlights...

I had a nap, starting and ending with Nine Inch Nails - Metal.

At dinner I met the president of the college democrats, sitting with the president of the free culture group.

Had my first genetic testing class. All oral seminar, kind of a disappointment.

I spent half an hour trying to print a document at the library on the stupid macs.

I sleep again with no music.

Sunday Sept 4

I woke, had brunch, went shopping for art supplies, had dinner at the on-campus Quizno’s, caught the sunset,
then gamed a bit. Classes in the morning.
Oh, went to bed listening to Radiohead - High and Dry
