Fall(ing and) Break(ing)

Aww, someone stopped by to say goodbye, how sweet. There are some vague "have a good fall break" notes on my door too. Its going to be a fairly quiet and lonely time methinks. Mixed blessing.

I am once again reminded of my total social retardation. I shouldn't even try from the beginning, I just dissapoint everyone. The other day I had the repeated realization that I tend to make people I talk to depressed too.

On a different not, I'll mention two Nine Inch Nails songs. Angel is one. Sounds so odd. Like a big hair band song or something. Interesting NIN sound. The other is Help Me I Am In Hell, off the Broken album. Very short, only instrumental, but I really like the sound of it.

Its been a long time since I've seen or hear it, but I meant to talk about it. We have a DDR club here, and some enthusiasts also have something called StepMania or something for the computer. I'll quote the super hero again, on watching someone play: "Your fingers are like little Pedros!"

I ate my last provided meal at the D-Hall. I think I'm going to end up not eating much for the next couple of days. Emaciation, here I come.

That's Why I'm Busy

I finally got around to watching Unleashed (Danny the Dog) the other day. Good fight scenes and music. I mean, martial arts movie, how can you pass it up? Plus it had Morgan Freeman and Jet Li in it.

I misstyped one character in my journal entry for Japanese class. My teacher raised an eyebrow:

たくさんべんきょうするから、とってもいそがしかった。―> たくさんべんじょうするから、とってもいそがしかった。

If you get it, I salute you. If you don't, you can ask me for a translation.

There. There's the formula. Pacman is god.

For my music plug, I'll recommend you listen to the guitar in Cky - Rio Bravo.

Say It Ain't So

To start off, listen to the song in the title by Weezer... "My love is a lifetaker."

Tuesday I missed my first college class. Math & Art. It was bound to happen sometime. I had it ingrained in my head that the class started at 11:30, when it actually started at 10:30. I've just had fortuitous contacts before, egging me on to get to class.

I was trying to do research the other day, and I IMed the advertised help contact at the library. Its supposed to be there all the time for you:

shigekims (3:07:42 PM): hello?
askandyfum is idle at 3:07:46 PM.

Pff. Figures. It was like it was planned. They're out to get me.

I managed to get a good book on Samuel van Hoogstraten anyway. Not the issue is actually getting around to reading the material and writing the essay.

Alas, still the only crucible in which to boil water.

Tonight I went out to dinner with a total sociopath. Crazy guy, he cracks me up. He just seems inhuman, beyond what people actually reasonable do in day to day life. That must be why he's so interesting. He showed me some videos he's made, of which I am not at liberty to describe or relate any. All I can say is that they were hilarious. Especially considering they happened in real life.

Aww, rain stopped

Alas, the rain is over. Rained all day yesterday and into the morning though. 50+ consecutive hours of it. It was wonderful. Especially coming from a desert. Everything is just wet now. Wet wet wet.

AHH! ...this would've been appropriate for the last post.

Not sure who made it, but its a cute little milkbox, no?

Instead of milk-trucks, this morning there was a fascist truck. Hmm, look out for blue baseball hats.

I have nothing to say... let's see... how about... the fact that... I seem to have an uncanny way of depressing those around me...

Don't listen to the lyrics, listen to the sound of the lyrics. "I feel so real... Hey dad what do you think about your son now." Filter - Take A Picture.
