Rain rain, please stay

It still raining this morning, I think even after raining for practically all 24 hours yesterday. I love this kind of weather. EVen though the rain isn't coming down as hard as it could, its just nice having cool drizzliness with you everywhere you wander.

Last night I went with the asian club to do bowling. It was one of those things that I was initially not so inclined to do, but I'm glad I did. Felt like I sort of got to know some other people, (including a symphonic metal rocker), as well as scare and annoy some others. Well, I guess everyone. I'm too competitive. (Haha, I bowled a 209!) Need to learn to phenotypically express more of my emotionless Japanese genes. I only make a fool out of myself.

Thomsen still makes his foolish jokes, and they're still quite novel:
“Make a model. Carry it around with you. Impress your friends.”
and on stereoisomerism:
“You left handed people will like this. Sinister, for left handed. Evil. There are some cultures where they’d kill the left handed, or take them all and leave them on an island because they thought they were evil.”
Hmm, you'd have to be there.

Maybe I should stop drinking the milk. That's just creepy.

I'll leave you with some lyrics and a song you should listen to:
“Lie, cheat, steal... our guilt, our blame, I've been far too sympathetic.” Tool – Intolerance

Kawaii ロボット

Heh, I've found this comic, "Questionable Ethics" quite amusing so far.

A time long long ago

Well, since I said I would, and I'd rather before the next weekend starts, I'll summarize my last one.

On Friday afternoon, I went to the local mall with some people. I know, I normally wouldn't go, but I went for the boba. Its really too sweet, but its still a delightful novelty.

I then went with a group of people to see Serenity. I sat behiond the back seat of the mini-van. The movie was okay. Good action, bad acting.

Then there was a black-light dance/rave at the International House. It was prtty cool. Good music, until the DJ who liked rap too much got spinning.

The next day, Saturday, woke up late, Played Starcraft with a friend, dinner, gaming, sleep.

On Sunday, I studied. Hard. Only break was a game of pool later in the evening.

That's about it.

Ponder the following statements:

This statement is false, and I am lying.

This statement is true, henceforth I am God.

Oooh, deep, paradoxical. Sorry, that was pointless.

Read this Kill Bill inspired comic, then listen to the good lyrics of Pearl Jam - Better Man.

Dammit!

This isn't supposed to happen! I think I completely screwed up the orgo chem test today. This is one of those things that is going to kick my ass into gear. No more fun until I have a solid grip on this course. I can't afford to get a bad grade here. I have to prove people wrong. Dammit.

Some other happy news, I just learned that my Great Uncle Fukuoka died in Japan a week ago. That, and my last surviving Grandfather, brother to the deceased, has about a 2-3 month time limit.

I sense that I'll be going through a second dark and dank phase. Look the fuck out.

As long as I'm venting, I'll say that I've found yet another pet peeve. Those little paper circles after punching something with the hole puncher. Those suck.

Dementia: severe impairment of mental functioning.

Even though I'm swamped with things I should be doing, tests I should be studying for, books I should be reading, I need to take some time to update this.

Dementia comes from this fun (and free!) NIH booklet: Understanding Gene Testing. Its pretty cool that the government actually does something like that. Go to www.cancer.gov and you can order all kinds of stuff, for free, no s&h. Edutain the masses! (or take advantage of a free service.) I've got a Genetic Testing exam today, so I'm brushing up on my terminology... its great how most of this stuff is review from high school.

Let's see, of the interesting things that have happened, I remember the Lancaster water main break.

I just love the way campus spams stuff so fast, its a well oiled machine. They also shipped in a huge brick of bottled water, to which I gratuitously helped myself to as well. (Take a peek at the nails, they're coming out again. slowly.)

Some other things... let me think... ah yes. Fire alarms. They're extremely loud and obnoxious. One was screaming off just now, but it stopped soon after it started. There was one the other day that ripped me from sleep however, and disoriented I wandered out to the quad. Think like a thousand cicadas screaming in unison.

Was just listening to Lenny Kravits - Fly Away. I was jamming on air guitar. Rock on. (Thank god I still don't have a roommate, althogh that is subject to possible change.)

I'll tell you all about last weekend in another post, back under the thumbscrews for me.

One last plug, then I need to get back to reality. I had a picture on here a couple posts ago, was connected with the "h" key fixing, and the webmaster from it contacted me, since I was apparently using some of his bandwidth by directly linking the image. In order to make up for it, I'll tell you briefly about his site. Hamal18.com is a site dedicated to his film. To put it nicely, its a "psychological thriller." If you want to know what I really think about it, ask me. Anyway, that's it. "Check it out," I guess.
